4/29/09 - Corporate DevelopMint Team Takes SCANPO by Storm
Charleston, SC (April 29, 2009) Three representatives from Corporate DevelopMint were invited to speak at the South Carolina Association for Nonprofits annual conference April 29 through May 1 in Spartanburg. President June Bradham as well as Lee Mikell, VP for Business Development, and Brandon Perle, Business Development Consultant, are scheduled to address this statewide group with nearly 400 participants in attendance.
“SCANPO is such a valuable asset to the non-profits of our state,” says June Bradham, the immediate past Chair of the SCANPO Board. “The good work it does year round is commendable and this annual gathering allows us to share our expertise—and learn from our peers—in a setting that truly helps non-profits of all size flourish.
June will be delivering a presentation based on the findings of her book The Truth About What Nonprofit Boards Want, due to be released in June. She will reveal the myths fundraising staff and leadership often believe about what drives board engagement and giving, as well as the truth about what really makes board members tick, enjoy board service, and increase their financial support to the organizations they serve.
Lee and Brandon will present “The Community Driven Study” based on a new twist on a traditional campaign planning (or feasibility) study. They will discuss the advantages to involving the community much earlier in the process, resulting in cultivated, vested partners, rather than study participants who fade away when the study concludes.
Registration for the SCANPO conference can be made at www.scanpo.org June’s session is scheduled for 2:45 on Wednesday, May 29th and Brandon and Lee will present on Thursday at 2:15.
