8/4/08 - SC Governor's School Receives Toyota Grant


Charleston, SC (August 4, 2008) Corporate DevelopMint would like to congratulate the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics on receiving a $200,000 grant from Toyota USA Foundation. This gift will help launch the School's new Portable Advanced Science Exploration (PASE) project. PASE will provide advanced technology science equipment and training directly to teachers in schools throughout South Carolina beginning with the I-95 corridor.

CDM President and GSSM Board member, June Bradham says, "This gift is a real coup for GSSM. The Toyota USA Foundation is such an incredible supporter of education--especially math and science--and this gift will mean so much to the students and teachers at the Governors School."

The PASE program will serve approximately 80 teachers and 2,500 students in its first year, expanding to reach additional numbers as the program grows.
